Data Deletion

This page explains how to permanently delete your data from any Meek Media product — meek.media, waomate.com (WhatsApp Business platform), igmsg.com (Instagram automation), and any other service we operate.

Option 1 — Self-serve from your dashboard

1. Log in to the relevant product (waomate.com/login or igmsg.com/login).
2. Open Settings → Workspace → Close account.
3. Confirm with your password.

Your account, all contacts, all messages or comments, all templates / automations, and your encrypted Meta access tokens are deleted from our active database within 24 hours. Encrypted backups are rotated and overwritten within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email request

If you cannot log in, email privacy@meek.media from the email address registered to your account with the subject line "Delete my data".

We will:

• Verify your identity (we may ask for additional confirmation, e.g., a recent invoice number or registered phone number).
• Delete your account and associated data within 30 days of verification.
• Send you confirmation when complete.

Option 3 — Disconnect from Meta

If you remove our app from your Meta Business Settings (Business Manager → Integrations → Remove our app), Meta sends us a deletion notice. We treat that the same as a self-serve deletion: WhatsApp / Instagram-related data is deleted within 24 hours.

What gets deleted

• User account, password hash, profile
• Workspace (tenant) record and all team-member accounts
• Encrypted Meta access tokens (WhatsApp / Instagram OAuth)
• All contacts, conversations, messages, comments, and DMs stored in our database
• All templates and automations you created in our system (note: Meta retains template records on their side per their policies — contact Meta to delete those)
• All canned responses, auto-replies, broadcast records, and automation rules
• Cached media files (images, videos, documents) downloaded via webhooks

What we may retain

We retain the minimum data required to comply with legal obligations:

• Tax invoices and billing records — 7 years per Indian tax law (Income Tax Act, 1961).
• Audit logs — 1 year for security and abuse-investigation purposes.
• Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you (e.g., "53 users in March used the broadcast feature").
• Records required by law-enforcement or court orders, only for as long as legally required.

Data deletion for end-customer data

If you are an end customer of one of our business clients (e.g., you received a WhatsApp message from a business that uses Waomate, or had a comment auto-replied via Igmsg), please contact that business directly for deletion. They control your data; we process it on their behalf as a data processor.

If you cannot reach the business or they are unresponsive after a reasonable period, you may write to privacy@meek.media and we will help facilitate the deletion.
